About

Hello, and welcome!

My name is Stacy Ladenburger, and Delightful Crumb is my blog.

A proud native of the great state of Michigan, I now live in the East Bay of California with my dashing husband, Ben.

I have always loved food, and I have always loved writing, but I didn’t unite the two until after college. Then, however, as I tried to make sense of the great-big-post-collegiate world, I found solace in my little orange kitchen, where there was respite from my day job as a nonprofit editor. I realized that food is a common denominator, an avenue for thinking and talking about life in a conversation anyone can join. As I further explored the ways in which food intersects and reflects everything else we experience, the blog I had started as motivation for my writing gradually morphed into something resembling a food blog. After a lot of dreaming and planning, I finally started Delightful Crumb in January 2012 to give my passion an official outlet.

Here you will find stories about food and life and recipes featuring whole foods and seasonal ingredients. I am a vegetarian and a lover of fine baked goods, and both traits are reflected on this blog–shamelessly!

I am particularly fond of simple cakes, dark leafy greens, anything atop toast, farmers markets and dinner with people I love.

The content and photos on this site are my original work unless otherwise noted and are protected by copyright. Please do not use anything without permission.

The Delightful Crumb logo and drawings were created by the lovely Emilie Tromp at Lief Design, and this blog was designed by Taylor Voss, a man with an astonishing number of skills. The ever-talented Gerard Van Halsema took the photograph above. My friends are pretty rad.
